NACO Messenger – Canadian Angel Groups Receive Boost of Capital to Drive Entrepreneurial Success

November has been a busy month for the early-stage start-up community and it’s showing no signs of slowing down.

Our members and partners are putting on great events next week during Global Entrepreneurship Week. Be sure to check out Open Angel Canada Founders & Funders in Vancouver, Canadian Innovation Exchange in Toronto and EBAN Winter University 2014 in Finland to network with successful entrepreneurs and some of the world’s most renowned Angels.

We hope you’ll be able to catch NACO Chair Michelle Scarborough at this weekend’s the Gentlemen’s Expo in Toronto. She’ll be joining Bruce Coxon and Vikram Vij for the Start Me Up Contest, to judge the top companies of the weekend during the live pitch competition. Be one of the first 10 people toemail us and we’ll send you a complementary ticket to attend on Sunday. See below for more details.

One final reminder that next Thursday, November 20, 2014, is the first everGlobal Business Angels Day (GBAD). Part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, GBAD is an opportunity for early-stage investors to connect with community leaders as well as local media through events and competitions, local programs for entrepreneurs, policy research and growing regional networks. If you have any events planned for November 20th or are interested in participating in local media initiatives, please contact Ioana Stoica.

Don’t forget to stay in touch and up to date by following us on Twitter and  LinkedIn or by visiting our website.
